A Mini Session has the potential to not allow you to get to know your clients all that well since it is such a short amount of time. I try to do my best prior to ask questions and chat about their interest and hobbies, what they link to do as a family, etc. But the Werner/Roberts crew had no problem bringing me into their life as a family. They are lovers of science, comics, and sci-fi! I had such a great time learning more about all kinds of science from Kyler. Talking about what he likes most, where he would travel, and why he wouldn't want to go into space. Kids like Kyler, with a desire to learn more about the world around them, will make this world a better place to live in the future.
Bright Family - Fall Mini Session
Meeting new clients and families is always fun but, I have to be honest, one of my favorite things is when clients come back. I love it when I get to catch up with families I worked with previously and seeing them grow.
The Bright Family, I feel like embodies their last name, they are just bright people! They bring sunshine into your day, especially Quinlan. Her little giggle is so contagious. I think I had more fun than they did just running around and laughing with all of them. This was one of my favorite Minis to date.
Clark Family - Fall Mini Session
The Clark Family was the perfect way to start my 2016 Fall Mini Sessions. We had lots of laughs and explored a new park for both of us. Whitecliff Park in St. Louis County near Grant's Farm was a stunning back drop to this session.
Stewart Family - Lifestyle Session
I absolutely adore John and Maggie and their 2 little boys. After moving to a city where I didn't know a soul they were my next-door-neighbors and they were so welcoming. Since then they have moved and their family have grown by two but they are still just as sweet and welcoming.
We spent an evening at Des Peres park playing with Charlie and Jack (and avoiding the swarms of Pokemon Go players). There was lots of running and pretending we weren't really there to take pictures.
As usual, these are meant to capture their life together on a regular basis and not be super posed. Sometimes the best family photos are the ones that show everyones personality at once (see the last image) ;)
Cheers!
